Pilot Proposal · BPS101

Your teachers are navigating AI alone.
Let's change that before fall.

EnhanceED AI is a self-paced professional development platform built specifically for K-12 educators — not researchers, not IT directors, not corporate trainers. Teachers. In classrooms. Right now.

AI is already in your classrooms.
Your teachers didn't get a manual.

Students are using AI on assignments right now. Most teachers received no training, have no district guidance, and are making it up as they go. That's not a criticism — there simply hasn't been a good option built for educators, by educators.

1 in 3
Teachers report feeling underprepared to address AI in class
Most say they've never received structured PD on AI — only informal conversations or generic district memos.
60%+
Students already using AI tools regularly for schoolwork
Without teacher guidance, students default to using AI to skip thinking — not to enhance it. The gap between student use and teacher readiness is growing.
Most
Existing AI PD is built for the wrong audience
Generic corporate AI courses don't address lesson planning, academic integrity, assignment design, or the daily realities of a K-12 classroom. Teachers deserve something built for them.

The Platform

9 missions. Every teacher. Any schedule.

EnhanceED AI is self-paced and device-agnostic. Teachers complete missions on their own time — in 20-minute chunks, during a prep period, or over a weekend. No login coordination, no Zoom sessions to schedule, no substitute needed.

1
What AI Is — and Why It Matters How AI actually works. The Human Advantage that AI can't replace.
2
Quick Wins in Your Classroom Real workflows by subject area. Saves hours of prep per week.
3
Prompt Like a Pro The skill that makes every other AI tool work better. Context, Task, Format.
4
Privacy, Ethics & the Stoplight What teachers can and can't share with AI. FERPA basics. The Green/Yellow/Red framework.
5
When AI Lies Hallucinations explained. A 2-minute verification habit. How to teach students to check.
6
The Wow Tools NotebookLM, voice-to-lesson plans, file upload, differentiation in 90 seconds.
7
Design Smarter Assignments AI-proof your work by grading process, not just product. One change rewrites the assignment.
8
Talking to Your Students About AI Ready-to-use scripts and norms. The Stoplight conversation, made easy.
9
Ready for Your Classroom — Capstone Teachers leave with a specific action plan: one Monday move, one colleague to bring along, and a written commitment saved to their profile.
🎓
Student Track Included

Four student-facing modules — gamified, age-appropriate, focused on the enhance-vs-replace distinction. Teachers assign class codes; students get their own portal. No student email required for access.

Free for BPS101. Here's the deal.

No cost, no commitment, no IT project. In exchange, I'm asking for honest feedback and the opportunity to use aggregate outcomes for a case study.

What BPS101 Gets

Full platform access for up to 30 teachers — free for the duration of the pilot
District admin dashboard showing completion rates, reflection text, and mission-by-mission progress
Kickoff session (30 min) — I'll walk the cohort through the platform, answer questions, and set expectations
Student track access for any teacher who wants to run it with their class during the pilot window
Printable DPA on file — all data stored in Supabase (US-based), no student PII shared without written consent
Personalized certificate of completion for every teacher who finishes all 9 missions — printable, PDFable, shareable with HR for PD credit documentation

What I'm Asking For

10–30 teacher participants — department chairs, PD leads, or any willing cohort. Self-selection works fine.
6-week window — enough time for teachers to complete at their own pace without deadline pressure
Brief exit survey (5 min) at the end — what worked, what didn't, what they'd change
1–2 willing teachers to speak briefly with another interested district (a 10-min call, entirely optional)
Permission to cite BPS101 (anonymized outcomes only) in future proposals to other districts
Timeline

Pilot can begin as early as fall PD week. Full teacher completion is designed to happen within 6 weeks of launch — most teachers finish in 2–3 weeks when self-pacing. No school day disruption. No substitute required.

Built for district use from day one.

K-12 edtech has a compliance problem. EnhanceED AI was designed with FERPA and SOPPA in mind before a single line of code was written.

🔒

Data Storage

All user data stored in Supabase — a US-based, SOC 2 Type II compliant database. No data is processed or stored by OpenAI, Google, or any third-party AI provider in teacher or student accounts.

📋

Data Processing Agreement

A signed DPA is available before any district account is activated. The DPA covers FERPA, SOPPA (Illinois), COPPA applicability, data retention, breach notification, and subprocessor list.

👤

Student PII

Student track requires only a name and class code — no email required for students under 13. Teachers are trained in the platform's AI privacy module (Mission 4) before accessing any AI tools.

🤖

The AI Sandbox

The in-platform AI sandbox runs on Google Gemini — the same model BPS101 teachers use in Google Workspace. No new vendor relationship, no additional privacy review needed for the sandbox component.

🏫

No Vendor Lock-In

The platform doesn't collect student performance data, integrate with your SIS, or require any district system access. It is a standalone PD tool. Exit at any time — your data can be exported in CSV.

⚖️

Legal Review

The DPA is currently under review by an Illinois education attorney. Final reviewed copy will be available prior to any district pilot launch. Pending review, the draft DPA is available on request.

Made by an educator, for educators.

Field Experience Coordinator, BHS / BPS101 · Ed.D. Candidate

I didn't build this platform because I thought AI was cool. I built it because I watched teachers in my own building trying to figure out AI on their own — Googling policies at 10pm, asking colleagues in the hallway, making judgment calls with no guidance. That's not good enough.

I've spent the last year building, testing, and iterating on this platform. Every lesson, every quiz, every workflow is drawn from real classroom experience — not vendor demos or conference talks. The goal is simple: every teacher at BHS should feel confident navigating AI before the next school year starts.

Three steps to get started.

No committee. No procurement. No IT ticket. This is a PD tool that lives in a browser — starting it is as simple as sharing a link.

1
Say yes to the pilot Identify a cohort of 10–30 teachers. Department chairs or PD leads are ideal, but any willing group works.
2
Sign the DPA One-page signature. Required before accounts are activated. Reviewed copy available prior to launch.
3
Launch I send teachers a registration link and a 5-minute orientation email. The kickoff session is optional but recommended. Done.
